Sometimes it feels like the food and fashion industries have one thing in common, FADS!!! Vegan, Paleo, Atkins, Raw food, South Beach, Mediterranean, The Zone, Weight Watchers, cabbage soup, grapefruit, etc!! What diet type is right for you? Maybe you’ve gone vegetarian for two weeks and couldn’t stand it, or you’ve been on the Paleo diet for the last 2 years and need a change!

Well, here are a few things that we know are for sure; eat right, feel good, exercise and live a healthy and balanced life with minimal stress! If diets stress you, forget about them! Choose recipes you like from all the diets combined and enjoy your food! Plant a garden, visit a farmer’s market, buy local, eat seasonally, and enjoy fresher and better tasting foods. Cut back on sugar, coffee and alcohol! Increase your intake of filtered water, fresh vegetable and fruit smoothies, herbal teas and fresh salads!

Ideally, for most of us, the best diet becomes our lifestyle and is one which is mainly organic, pesticide and GMO free and plant-based with a little meat! This will ensure you meet all of your daily nutrient requirements! Also avoid overeating, respect your satiety cues, rotate your foods keeping things varied and you’ll avoid getting food sensitivities!
